I can confirm fuel price here at Portimao to be .70 euro / litre. No deals for large quantity, same price for 1 or 1000 ltres and they will take cash only at that price. Credit card attracts a 2% surcharge.

2003 is going to be a good year for me

Doing well Dom,
Got there ok with the only mishap being the rope and tarpaulin we picked up in Biscay about half way across. In my typical brave way, I decided that swimming to cut it all free was not the best option and after pulling off what we could, we trundled the rest of the way on one engine. Took ages to get into La Coruna. Got sorted once we were there and rest of the journey was fairly uneventful. The only "bad" weather was the last leg around Cap St Vincent with 30-40 knots of wind and big following seas. Boat rode it well and we got there tired but with no problems. Since then we've had a great summer and have decided to stay where we are, using Portimao for a base for at least another year.
