Portable washing machine

The best washing machine for the serious cruiser is the free one - a recycled 20-litre plastic paint (emulsion) drum, the sort with a sealing lid.
In the morning, fill with dirty clothes, water and detergent, close lid, place in the bounciest part of the boat (chain locker?). Later in the day empty the wash cycle water and replace it with the rinse cycle water.
The stronger the weather the better (or the shorter) the wash.
No good at all for boats that never leave their moorings, nor for hotel barges working on very smooth canals

washer

If you are in spain, look for JATA, I use their small 220v takes a double sheet so big enough but small enough to fit in a locker,,,just add powder and water, switch on,,,,,,job done,
who ever buys my boat gets the washer for free,

This is the baby

We've had ours for years (earlier model) at it works amazingly. Washed all our dinette covers over the last two days and they are now back on and immaculate.

Don't NEED A WRINGER, see, as it has a spin dryer built-in. With all that excess hot water most cruising boats have, why buy one of those £1200+ jobbies just to lugg a lump of concrete around all the time. Our neighbours have been waiting for parts for theirs for months.
