Port Solent private berth wanted -any contacts?

As I'm now commited to changing my berth to Port Solent I'm ideally looking to rent a private berth for a 12.5m x 3m motorboat from one of the homeowners who does'nt need to use their own berth.

Has anyone out there got any idea's on contacts or know someone who might be able to help?
It's just that I've heard they can be at good prices compared to the Premier rates.

Any advice appreciated...

Port Solent Private Berths

Most of the private berths at Port Solent have a maximum length of 11 meters, you could try Rob at Marina life http://www.marinalifehomes.co.uk/ he might know of something long enough.

We were berthed at PS abount 10 years ago. From what I can recall, there is a little Supermarket at the end of the Boardwalk and there used to be little private classified ads on the door and there were often ads for berths for rent.

Do be careful though as you may not enjoy a lot of the 'proper' Berthholder benefits like storage ashore over the winter. Also check for access rights to the shower rooms and car parking.

I noticed Oyster Quay (Port Solent private berths) being advertised via the RightMove iPad/iPhone app... I imagine they'll be on the RightMove site too.

I believe the beths can only be sold to existing home owners there. You cant buy the berth alone.
