Hi all
I put my money/boat where my mouth is .and went in to see the port police in Poros. i explained that as I did not understand the law ,and that I had not had my papers stamped for over two years! Policeman asked for ship papers had a good look at them, threw one into the bin as I did not need it anymore, stamped the travel log.Asked me to wait for another policeman to turn up .to work out a charge for parking ,after about 10mins looked over to me and said you can go, quick handshake.Thank you and goodbye. cheers bobt

Which Poros? The PP at the Kephalonia Poros are very good, being more interested in the ferrries, and rightly so. They sometimes ask one to report to the office with papers [and sometimes not] but after one or two nights leave you alone.
I didn't see any PP on Poros the island near Athens. I did get buzzed by the Navy when I left the quay and anchored near their base - but no problem. The Poros quay to the north gets some nasty swell.

did the same at Lefkas.Took one look at the papers.Under 10m do not need depka. or anything else. But if you keep boat on the quay will be charged mooring. My landlord took papers in and got me a years mooring on the quay Euro 480 for the year.I dont keep the boat there in winter.but its value for money. And if any other port asks for papers just show them the receipt for pemanent mooring lefkas and tell them to ring PP at Lefkas.
