How do you attach popper type fastenings to the boat? I have got 2 canvas pockets for halyard tails, with large poppers. I assume I have to buy some popper fastenings to obtain the other half of the poppers, and fix them to the hull somehow. What's the best way to do this, causing the least permanent damage, if they were ever to be removed?

If they are the type use on jeans the centre section has to be screwed thereby making a small permenant hole. Most hood and awning makers can supply.

G'day Spyship,

Avoid self tappers thru gel-coat or into fibreglass as they tend to cause cracks, try to locate a suitable bolt and Nylok nut, add a little sealant to prevent water entry and you should be right for years to come.
