Yes, in my opinion the current Piracy outbreak and WW2 are on a dfifferent scale and require completely different solutions.

And yet, in your proposal to use convoys to protect shipping, while at the same time effecting a regime change ashore you've actually, albeit on different scales come up with the same solution as was used in the war.

We've had piracy, and solved it before. And the way it was solved was by hunting them down, and killing them.

I don't understand why an example hasn't been made yet of the Pirates on the Sirius Star.

The Sirius Star should be boarded by special forces and the pirates eliminated, it's that simple.

This should continue to happen for every act of piracy until Pirates get the message that committing Piracy will get you killed. Forget negotiations, they've broken international law, they've boarded another vessel without permission and siezed the ship.

Because the west is being so soft, word will spread, more will see it as a viable way to make money and the problem will get worse.
