As part of an article I'm writing about going green on the water then I'd like to find out who puts toilet paper down their sea toilet. The poll is totally 100% anonymous so please answer it truthfully.
Because we swim where we anchor and paper can float miles into anchorages and beaches when people empty holding tanks whereas crap lasts no time at all before being eaten. How about why some dont put toilet paper down their toilets, envirinmental concerns or blocked toilet concerns ?

Absolutely. But also to avoid blocking the pipes. The only times I’ve had to unblock the heads has been when folks have put paper down them.Because we swim where we anchor and paper can float miles into anchorages and beaches when people empty holding tanks whereas crap lasts no time at all before being eaten.
How, is it "going green", if your crap goes outboard? As part of an article I'm writing about going green on the water then I'd like to find out who puts toilet paper down their sea toilet. The poll is totally 100% anonymous so please answer it truthfully.
Got any evidence of that?Because we swim where we anchor and paper can float miles into anchorages and beaches when people empty holding tanks whereas crap lasts no time at all before being eaten.
I once had to unblock mine when a devoutly Christian and unmarried couple flushed a condom down it while I was away shopping ... they subsequently denied all knowledge of the offending object. Perhaps it was a miracle.Absolutely. But also to avoid blocking the pipes. The only times I’ve had to unblock the heads has been when folks have put paper down them.
Not the pump, but the scaled up pipes. I wont bore you with the details of running commercial yachts! If the paper is of the right quality, it will not cause a problem for the pump. Just make sure to provide the paper yourself and to brief the crew about overuse. Perhaps a rule that"he who blocks the loo unblocks it" might help![]()
Never...The bin when it can be reasonably emptied ashore. More than around fifty miles off, out the portlight.
Never ever ever down the head. Yes there is always someone who pops up at this stage and says 'in all my years of sailing blah blah'.
Ever had to rod through the hull vv of a holding tank from the outside? Double yuk every time!![]()
The idea of a holding tank fills me with horror.
