As you may have read, I've been accused of pointing the finger at one or two, or even giving the finger. I'm innocent, of course.Probably came in to see if they had been identified judging by the nature of a lot of the comments.
'Operations Centre' is what I call it.Perhaps the chart table & seat could be "the command centre"?
Is that why it’s called a sprayhood....because you are on the bridge peeing over it ?'Operations Centre' is what I call it.
The bridge is where I stand peering over the sprayhood with my binoculars.
Has your keel fallen off yet?Mine is a sailboat, unless some pretentious twat goes on to insist on knowing what kind of sailboat when I can tell them it's an Oyster (but just not a £2M+ one)...
Shout in boats general direction what ever you want, if I have been stupid your likely to get an apology. If as is more likely you are being stupid you will get told why.If as a yacht sailor you don’t want to be distinguished with a title....then who do I yell at when you do something stupid
You could just register with the Small Ships ResisterOne of the delights of visiting the Netherlands is that you get to call your cockleshell pride and joy a ‘ship’.
Hello????Beachclub! - when motorboats are being reviewed. Its right up there in the triggering heights along with etymological Frankenstein's monsters such as "surveilled" , "diarized", "incentivized" or "normalcy".
I wouldnt have put you down as a readerHello????
Excuse me. I read the Beano and the Dandy every week when the lad next door had finished with them.I wouldnt have put you down as a reader
Isn't there a tupperware class as well? I last lived on the Broads in 1976 so could be a bit out of dateOn the Broads there are plenty of multistory motor craft with huge engines that never go to sea, but are confined to the area with a 6mph speed limit. Those are definitely owned by people who have a sense of superiority...
Americans refer to any sailing boat with a lump of lead down below to keep it upright, as a keelboat.
Here in Norfolk at least,
a Keelboat is an open boat with a lump of lead down below.
A yacht is a sea going type of sailing craft. Also known as a production cruiser.
A Broads design of sailing craft is normally called a sailing cruiser. Though occasionally called a broads yacht.
A single story motorboat normally with forward control is called a bathtub.
Yup, Lasers etc.Isn't there a tupperware class as well? I last lived on the Broads in 1976 so could be a bit out of date
As well as putting everyone at risk of the ammo cooking off...you get a lot more yacht for a million dollars there than you do hereFurther to the discussion of what is a yacht, this BBC video story may be of help...or not, lol Luxury yacht sinks after catching fire in California . Given the amount of ammunition that was on board I wonder if this was not a luxury yacht but a private man-o-war?
She’s very famousThis is a proper yacht.

Built in 1931 for Marjorie Merriweather Post as a private yacht.
Sea Cloud - Wikipedia
Anything with only one mast is not a yacht - just a boat. Anything with no mast is just an floating abomination.
Ans Merriweather is a grand name for a yachtswoman. She’s very famous
Forgotten about that, normally referred to small fibreglass 16 to 25ft sailing boats .Isn't there a tupperware class as well? I last lived on the Broads in 1976 so could be a bit out of date
