For anyone who is interested I have set up a page of forum pole results for the two polls I have ran so far, "what type of mooring" and "What size boat".

The address is in my signature (or here). Interestingly 50% of us use a marina berth and 53% of us sail vessels between 26 and 35 feet. I would be fascinated to see figures from 20 or even 10 years ago to see how this has changed.

So does this relative small sample indicate that a lot of forumites do not own boats or could they not be bothered to participate in, what is a very scientific survey, of great value to the marine industry. I mean, after all the trouble you have gone to as well!

According to the two samples 165 have moorings but only 118 own boats, so does this mean that 47 people who responded own a mooring but no boat?
