plug and socket for raymarine pathfinder radar cable

My radar cable is cut and joined under the mast. The connection has been problematic in the the past. Prefer not to soldier the joints. Would like a plug and socket for this or does anyone have an effective solution to what I understand is a common problem with this cable

Mine (Pathfinder) had a choc block before I removed it which seemed to work just fine. My new set is Ethernet so I crimped RJ45s and fitted some kind of auto connector for the power cables. The Pathfinder cable is a beast to handle so I'd probably stick with a choc block and electrical tape as it'll be secure.

I also have choc block under the deck which is warm and dry. We had radar issues which were resolved by fitting a new cable from raydome to under deck. I suspect that the edge connector in the raydome was the cause of the previous issues, not so warm and dry.
