I just bought a Garmin 298c with dual freq. transducer ext ant. and all G2 charts unlocked for 610 from essex marine on canvey island

sorry should introduce ourselves - we are newbies to boating, have just bought a 1997 bayliner cierra 2355, moored on the Medway

can't wait for spring...

regards

Nick & Karen

Welcome to the mystical world of the Medway and dont believe a word Fred (Oldgit) says about "meeting up".
Where you gonna be moored?
Al.
PS Pete I've got a 182C and it works just dandy and is a super buy at that price.

Ta for the welcome
we are in port medway marina

we will be easy to spot, we'll be the ones asking for help mooring, or we will be bumping off the pontoon in comical fashion LOL

Off Topic a bit, but our boat has a cool box, not a fridge - so would like to put a 240 / 12 volt fridge in it's place... I'm familiar with 12 / 240 / gas type fridges, would one of those be OK (but not using gas) or do I need a specific boat type?
Can't find one in any online chandler's sites....

any help greatly appreciated

Ta

Nick

Crikey you'll have to pop round for tea and cakes we are next door (Cuxton Executive Marina).
Just checking, your boat has been converted to 240v from 115v?
Al.

Yeah it has, it's a completely new / seperate 240v circuit with an RCD unit tucked away, would like to be able to run it on 12v with the engine running as well as from shore power....

Might be out for an hour or 2 on Saturday afternoon if the the wind keeps away, all white bayliner with no name (yet)

Cheers

Nick
