Hi I would like to make a plinth for a Jabsco manual sea toilet to raise it 4-5”. It would need to be screwed or bolted into ply sole. Rather than a boring box I was thinking of something cheap and plastic I could use as a master for a fibreglass mould like the step that kids use for toilet training

Hive mind got any good ideas ?

how about a masonry square bucket? If you can find something with a reasonable inside finish, then you have less work with finishing the part.
If you don't mind fairing and sanding, the the step is actually better, since you already have a flange, and positive mould hold better against sides bulging inward because of shrinkage strain around the corners. Also, the heavier lay up, the more shrinkage. Do it in two or more rounds.

Depending on the size I could 3D print you one to an exact shape. I can do up to a cube 256 x 256 x 256mm. You could use it as the actual step or a mould plug. P.M. if interested. Cheers.
