Haha yep, we went from Ocean village past all the cruise liners and up towards where the boatshow usually is (I think), then blasted back down to a place where there was a buoy with Calshot Spit on it in the water which I think was close to the hamble - after driving around for an hour or so we went into PH and had a meal at The Bugle, came out after an hour and went for some more blasting around somewhere near there (for anyone who was out, we kept circling an industrial-looking tall ship)
Then we tootled back into OV - we were out from 10 until 4, bit cloudy in the morning but soon perked up, I still have brain freeze from the wind chill, however.
We'd planned to go over to the Folly on IoW but it was F6 so skipper decided it wouldn't be much fun for us all to do our driving experience because the wind was so strong and the boat couldn't be pushed as much as it could in the more sheltered area - fine by me, I loved it anyway!
A lot of raggies out, there was an event on that was caught the back end of on the way out of Port Hamble, we were almost crashed into by some small yachts racing into the port who couldn't see past their cruising chute - they swung out in front of us at last minute, no idea how they missed us, must have been just a few inches in it!
