I have been playing on a 48 fly bridge today.

Down at Hamble point marina.

Its a bit windy down there at the mo.

and its been a spring tide but you did not notice it greatly as the wind was stronger.

It has been a day of, getting the owner to think forces.

forces on the boat, ie, the wind is thought of as another engine and so is the tide, so the more of the boat you show to that force the stronger it will push you.

So we have been pointing in loads of funny directions and going sideways in a slow controlled manner in some cases.

they did very well but

I am now dizzy and wind swept, but surprising dry for the weather conditions.

So how was your day?.

Ummmmm. Midlands office this morning. Planed down the M5 at lunchtime with very low vis. Meetings all afternoon. Still sorting out some paperwork ahead of the Board mtg tomorrow morning (quick bit of R&R on the forum as well).

Would rather be wet and windy with you!!

It was a bitch! 86 degrees, very very sunny, no wind, clear blue skies. Just ordered another rum and coke. Jamaica is nice this time of year! :-)

Hmmmm Iraq 43 degrees, dusty as hell (yes offshore) not a bar in sight !!

Imagine Bristol Channel with mine fields and flies that bite with a vengence !!

good news though 12 days to go and will be in for a beer when im back !!
