plastimo roller reefing hub bearings

Does anyone know where to buy of the two metal bearings that fit inside the hub of the plastimo 608 roller reefing system. (not the little plastic ones inside the foil) Had no luck with plastimo dealers or plastimo themselves. I have removed them andhave done a temporary repair as they had siezed but not sure how long the repair will last.

But check the parts diagrams in the manual on Plastimo's website to be sure you are identifying the parts correctly.

But I dont see any bearings that answer your description. only the ones either end of the spar

Are you refering to the halyard swivel?

ball bearings

these bearings consist of two steel rings(races) and ball bearings cotained in a plastic carrier,they are not listed on the plastimo site and yes they will probably be obtained by mesureing them and contacting a bearing company with the sizes but will meen that you will have to dismantle again so as to carry out the mesureing.Kieron

No there are no spares listed on the datasheet for this system. Looks like I will have to go to a bearing manufacturer. Disappointed with Plastimo as they have an enquiries section on their website but have not replied to my enquiry. I will remember this when buying new kit in future.
