This afternoon I decided to dismantle our Plastimo cooker, installed just over a year ago, and find out why one burner is not working well. Ended up with two Rivnuts turning with their screws, one burner retaining screw having to be drilled out, one thermocouple immovably corroded into its mounting plate that will have to be destroyed to get it out. All this is the result of corrosion caused by using dissimilar metals, in a marine environment, without the manufacturer making any attempt at insulating them from each other with anti-seize compound.

This is not a marine cooker despite being advertised as such, it is a caravan cooker with pan holders and gimbals.

Rant over - time for a little drinkee. Sort it out tomorrow.
