Any one have a worse case scenario for a wooden boat where the planks have opened up after standing for years and what other problems there might be please
Shrinkage bad enough to have strained fastenings, necessitating re-fastening all round after the planks have taken up again (i.e. sink her for a week, then haul out to refasten everything)
Too much caulking so the planks can not go back so straining the (new) fastenings - so it needs doing right through a second time!
