Haha, I don't think there is much chance of them being becalmed. tcm's diesel hand will no doubt become very twitchy at the slightest hint of the wind easing. I bet he's standing over the filler right now pouring some diesel performance enhancer into the tank.
Quite so. It's a familar twin-diesel boat with plenty of lounging space plus a long-range/skinflint wind-wafting attachment on the deck that some people call a "mast". If that doesn't work or there's no wind - we're stinkpotters.
Anyway, I am anticpating 8knots average, full and bye. Heh ...I'm not quite sure what "full and bye" means, but I read it in Patrick O'Brien when they were swooshing along, so I think we'll have it as well. Maybe it means "use the engines providing they've been invented"?
