Hiya folks.

It seems I'm doing a lot of asking for help but you guys (and gals) are just too good!

The duoprop on our leg is looking a little tired and our trusted service chappy has suggested that it's only got one more season in it.

It's a little pitted and rough looking but we'd like to give it the best preparation for the season we can. Also the performance is down on what we'd expect. Could this be due to a manky prop???

Any hints on how to improve the situation would be gratefully received!

Happy Easter Everyone

a rough surface will reduce the effectiveness of the prop to an amazing degree. if it's bronze, pitting would be an indication of de-zincification leading to potentially embarassing failure. if aluminium it's normal corrosion. you could squeeze a bit more life out of it by coating with epoxy to smooth it off but it's likely to come unstuck.

probably best to bite the bullet & get a new one, making sure the anode is also in good nick.
