We are on a broad reach to our first way point between the Andaman and Nicabar Islands and have just recieved a telex from Piracy Centre in K.L.
It does not make for very comforting reading when they say things like vessels that cannot sustain 15 kts are at risk!! This old girl is only plodding along at 5 ish cos our tow boat is only 10,800 bhp.
Reading all the places on here it makes you think that the Med or UK waters are probably the best place to stay, but there again you have the 2 chief pirates, Blair and Brown there!!!

good luck with yer pirates. Although we have them in Spain here also, and they are know as british estate agents. (7.5% commision plus vat)
It is quite easy to blame the gov. for your woes. But the simple fact is, the brit public vote for those who promise the lowest form of taxation. Then we complain about not enough bobbys on the beat, poor schools, etc etc. Yet it is the brit selfishness which creates a government in there image.
U tellin me you would prefer the lies of the tories. Short memory???

In 1970 when we got married a new house cost us £3900, interest was around 3.5 - 4%, our total income was £100 a mounth, and we lived well. Remember over 12 Dutchmarks to the Pound then, the arrival of Wilson and the following PM's that we had high inflation.
Going back boaty, found old 93 copy of PBO, no Bav's, and they were moaning about the high Marina fees in FRANCE !!!!!.

Well then young man take it from someone who is over 30, and do not trust any politicians. They are all motivated by a combination of ideology and personal gain. The longer they are in power the more arrogant and corrupt they become as personal gain takes over from their ideology.
Even in 'your lifetime' you must have noticed this with 'things can only get better' Tony.
A third term for that bunch will be very similar to the sleaze off all previous third term governments. They will then be cast into darkness for a number of years until another bunch of wippersnapper electors who know it all and remember nothing come along and elect them again. Political parties count on naivety thats why Tony is keen on lowering the voting age to 16
More sensible countries only allow two terms max. Our only chance is to keep them in their place by kicking them out on a regular basis

have you noticed that as the tories are getting back on top that the socialist politicians are all using the same sneering argument about how it was the tories fault because of what they did back pre 97!
they must all go to the same class where they are taught that sneering tone and this weeks sound bite.
