I don't know about anybody else but the thought of Alan getting there tomorrow is quite emotional. There have been many many retirements and near disasters in earlier events and we have been holding our breath. Looking forward to breathing out!

Just talked to Alan who arrived about an hour ago. (Last report below).
Sounds tired but extremely pleased. Will send pics when I receive them.

This has been absolutely gripping. My respect goes to all the starters, even those who have retired will have had some heart wrenchig decisions to make.

Brilliant! Well Done Alan - we've never met but I've really enjoyed the vicarious preparation and sailing. Maybe 2010...

Excellent effort Alan, I knew you were just mad enough when I first met you. What a top bloke. Your professional level of preparation and build up has paid off handsomely.
A racing Centaur, and a quick one at that, whoever would have though it.

Really look forward to the homecoming party when we are all able to get together.

A really great achievement, the only downside is that it's really fired up my imagination as to whether I could one day do a similar thing... Enjoy the rest now and congratulations again.
