As said, Richard, diesels are now considered naughtier, mainly due to particulate emissions.
I don't know how you get the idea diesels are more costly in terms of fuel. Even in the UK diesel is cheaper than petrol (in the way any technical person such as yourself would measure it).

The "naughty" part is that they kill people, not planets.

Petrol CO2 emissions contribute more to killing the planet than Diesel CO2 emissions.

I prefer to save the planet - so I have a diesel

I wondered if it was a Hurley of some sort, but the rudder looks wrong.

I have(had) a Hurley 20 and its transom was no where near as deep as the pink one.

I was going to go electric, but apparently they only kill Congolese children and devastate Peru, it's a real dilemma.
