Pico rudder trouble

Hi all the top of my pico rudder blade appears to have swelled and is not moving in the metal casing in which it is encapsulated. Is it a new rudder blade or has anyone got any advice for mending?

As far as I know, and I may be wrong but the blade is solid plastic. This can be sanded but I would doubt it has swollen. More likely the metal rudder stock has either got corrosion on it or has been knocked. Dismantle and have a look.

Some are metal (or at least metal sleeved) but agree with you it won't be swollen and sanding won't be the solution. Take it apart clean and inspect it all.

Clogged with salt/rust/crud/sand is most likely.

Fresh water and brute force will get it out to be examined.
