Will the new Squadron 41 hit the values of the Phantom 40 , or will they stay the same relative to market conditions . SWMBO has made her mind up so now not sure weather to hold of or do it now .

Surely fairline wont keep churning out stock boats ( P40 ) if they are aiming to create interest in SQ 41 . Would brand new bargains not take away demand for new model or does the cachet of having the latest model outweigh the additional cost .
...both models use the same moulds...
No, all new moulds Deleted User. Sq41 is an all new boat, not a phantom 40 evo
OK, thnks. The P40 has been around for quite a while now so maybe it was time for a new hull. Any idea what the list price differential between the current P40 and the new Sq41 will be?
As you know FL are pricing themselves higher, sort of BMW brandbuilding
No idea about price and I expect it hasn't been set yet. As you know FL are pricing themselves higher, sort of BMW brandbuilding (BMW being the only company that can charge £22k for a Mini, which is a nice car but the supply/demand curve would intersect at £14k if it had a Kia badge), so I'd expect Sq41 list price will be praps £125k higher than Ph40 list, like for like, but that's a guess. That said, it'll be high build quality and high spec
I get the feeling there'll be quite a jump in price from a current new stock boat P40 compared to a new Squadron 41 when they're available next Sept. I think (as it's already been said), this will put the 41 in a different league to any 2nd hand 40's that may be on the market, therefore the 2nd hand price should hold up pretty well, as they currently do compared to other circa 40ft flybridge boats such as the Princess 42 & Sealine.
Being a Phantom 40 owner, obviously I have a vested interest!
No doubt about that. Sq 55, admittedly with some extras, was £950k list ex tax at the boat show. I have to say though I liked it more second time around, especially the interior styling. I still think it has some shortcomings, particularly lack of storage on the aft half of the boat, but the saloon, galley, dinette layout is great, cabins are good, and fly is well laid out if a bit exposed. Oops, thread drift ...
Get a Princess 42 then worst ways the new Squaddie 41 will be it`s equal, otherwise you`ll still have a better boat.
What`s that in the back row, biased, me ? Don`t be so silly !
Just a thought mind.......
As ever keep smiling and enjoy the sunshine.
