Petter oil pressure gauge

My oil pressure gauge has packed up which is disconcerting to say the least. I have found a free, black, wire but cannot figure out where to put it (so to speak). Anyone know the position of the oil pressure sender on the Petter Mini Twin?
I have tested the gauge - the oil pressure is fine.
The wiring diagram gives no clues. Brian.

Hi Brian From memory on the starboard side of the engine near the diesel filter there is a presure switch with two wires which turns on the field wire to the alternator after the engine has started and the oil presure is up . On my engine I fitted a tee piece between this switch and the block and fitted my oil presure gauge to this tee.
