2014-03-24 09.30.12.jpg..had this lovely painting for some while, always wondered where she is, or her history.
I'm an east coast raggy in Shotley, Petra is obviously on the south coast..any thoughts?
Fingers crossed for pic upload.

As far as I can see she seems to have an undefaced blue ensign (cue: boo-hiss from the forum proles ;)), a Royal Naval Sailing Association burgee and what looks like R.N.S.A. painted on her stern.

She is no longer listed in the RNSA handbook.

You could try Lloyd's List of Yachts. Back copies can be inspected in the Caird Library at the Greenwich Maritime Museum. The library staff are very helpful and may find other material on her.

Good luck, and let us know how you get on.

Boat design is a subtle art of evolution with tweaks and hidden nuances . Fred Parker woulden't have needed to copy anyone.

Frederick Parker always employed more sheer in his designs than John Bain, who employed a far flatter sheer line.

Silver Ormidales were specified with Gardner engines with one exception which had Cummins, Frederick Parker preferred Perkins.

...and a prize to Eyore for thinking she's a Fred Parker...thanks to David for the Lloyds ref. confirming this.
I talked to Dennets boatyard, they don't have a Parker, but do have a Silver.

....but the question remains, where is she?
