pentex sails

I took my jib off the boat today and found it has several " cracks "appearing in the cloth , is there a tape that can be glued over on both sides to strengthen it ?

I have used sticky-backed dacron for this in the past but depending on how bad/used the sail is this really is only a holding measure, if the laminate is starting to go it's probably time to start looking for a replacement.

Out of interest, how old is the sail? Were you please with the choice of Pentex material & would you order it again?
