Does anybody know if its possible to fit a fuel lift pump to this engine. I would like to get away from the gravity feed system Im using at the moment.Are there any mechanical pumps available or should I be looking for an electric pump.

As far as Iknow there is no access point ot the camshaft that would gallow a mechanical pump to operate. I used an MD1 for over twenty years and I would advise against changing from gravity feed as the system works to your advatage. Consider bleeding the fuel system - gravity allows it to work on its own, just open the bleed screw and wait a few minutes. Instead if you need to carry extra fuel, put the extra tank low down and buy an inline pump to refill the gravity tank when needed. best of luck with a very useful engine. Angus
