Yes his ignorance knows no bounds. Been corrected via letters to the Ed several times but does not seem to sink in.

I've listened to the fellow 'on stage' at Southampton Boat Shows, and it did seem he had a couple of 'bees in his bonnet'.

That is just so very wrong and very disappointing of PBO as it makes it hard to trust any technical advice they publish.

Unfortunately despite countless contradictions he believes that 60/40 brass and DZR are the same thing. Many of his articles show zinc plated valves described as DZR (DZR is never plated) and he talks of 20/30/40 year old DZR ball valves that precede their installation by boatbuilders.
