Better value than you suggest ..... It's £1.99 for 2 litres but makes up to 10 litres , not more than 10 litres

It contains benzalkonium chloride ... a useful fungicide and algaecide ....... like for example Polycell 3 in 1 mould and mildew killer only somewhat more concentrated, hence the 1:4 dilution .
For light growth P.M. can be diluted up to 1:9
I keep some dilted at 1:9 in a trigger spray bottle at home for bath/ shower tray mats, shower curtains and other places that mould or mildew can get a hold.
Useful for killing algae on running rigging etc
Safe on surfaces that might be damaged by hypochlorite based products

Thanks for that, I've just picked some up in passing. I wouldn't have spotted it as it wasn't on display but they dug out a case from the warehouse when I enquired.
I noticed that several of the reviews said it was useless. I suspect that might be due to not knowing what to expect and the fact it is sold as a concentrate. I guess many people might be over-diluting. It looks as if it has approx. same percentage of benzalkonium chloride as Pation Magic. I'd expect similar good performance at 1:4 dilution for normal use. Diluting to 1:9 would still be OK as a preventative.

Yes and also very toxic for cats so keep them away until it has dried fully. I usually brush on deck when on hard but shouldn't be a huge problem when afloat. You must apply when no rain will fall for 5-6 hours minimum as this gives time for the active ingredient to soak into the wood, dry and bond (fairly weakly) to the wood.
Run-off should be minimal if it is applied sparingly, allowed to soak in and dry properly. I wouldn't use it to treat something like GRP as it would simply wash off, causing pollution and not achieving anything in the process.
It does biodegrade, fairly slowly, in soil and wood.

I've always used a brush and can control exactly where it goes. A spray would probably evaporate before it hit the deck in the Mediterranean.
I rarely use it now to be honest as chances of anything growing are minimal, even over winter.
