Hi all,

Planning to go to SIBS on Saturday. Not sure whether to try and find a car park close, Park & Ride, or I have the option of taking the Cat from Gosport. I will be travelling from chichister side.

Thanks,
Rob

If going by car, I wouldn't go to the Park and Ride.

Come off the M27 at one of the Junctions marked for Southampton (Hedge End is probably the first practicable one coming from the East) and follow the signs into Town. When you get close to the City Centre, pick up signs for West Quay, and Park there - the Podium car park is slightly closer than the multi storey (by John Lewis, per the posting above) but there's nothing much in it (5 minutes' walk to the Show's main entrance). Marlands Car Park is also nearby as are various others.

Traffic can be heavy when you leave - particularly if you go about 5-ish - and for this reason alone, unless you know any of the rat-runs in the area, I'd almost be tempted to go by water.

Yip, as said before, Ignore the Park and Ride sign all together, and Park in the Multi storey at the entrance to the show. We did that last year, much easier, no queues and dead cheap.

Thanks all, I will head straight in and go in the Multi-Story.

Looking forward to doing some tyre kicking, allthough, I have 12 weeks worth of Lottery tickets that I have not been bother to check yet. Do you think I should check them just in case before I go to the show ?

Took the Cat from Gosport on Monday. Good service and free parking all day. Would have taken the boat to Gosport but it was a tad windy!

Yep, go for the multi storey at the shopping complex across the road - went on Sunday and loads of places at 9.30 (though I guess Sat would be busier) and as stated about £6 for the day.

Walked through it and thought to myself I'm defo parking there next year! (booked an overnighter this year)

Though as the great British Public love shopping, i would try and get there early!

Perk and ride is £7 and provides a speedy regular bus service to SIBS. Used it for 2 days without complaint.

Parked on Town pier last Sat. at 10am. Think it was £4 in the area marked Mon to Fri. restricted. Two minuets walk to ticket entrance or 4 to cash gate. Dave.
