Parasail experiences

We bought one for a 6 week cruise to Western France.

Only used it for 3 days, but it is fantastic.

the only thing I would say is that it is massive when packed. Even with all the straps tied, it is still bigger than the largest suitcase i own . For this reason it is Gods own job to fit in a locker.

The other downside is the cost. Eye watering.

But, looking forward to using it this season. And Sea-Teach are fantastic. They will come out to your boat with one and show you how it works.

+1 for the Seateach support.

+1 for the eyewatering expense.

It's also as big as all my other sails together when packed. I'd still rather have it on board than the Spinney. If I can find space for one on a 26 footer, there ought to be no problem on something bigger.

The parasailor is a modification to the original parasail design and not available in the smallest size. Stuart at SeaTeach advised me that it's not make a difference on my boat and to save the money.

When SeaTeach brought mine he remarked ' you'll never see it this small again'. Dead right, of course. But I think the bag is ingenious and although it looks as though it's never going to fit, it does somehow. And with the straps tightened it makes a decent package. We keep ours on deck. Too big for most lockers.

''Today I have been mostly sewing..''

Not true at all. But I do have a sewing machine and floor space, lol

Crikey. That is so, so much more money than a regular spi or (and!) chute ...I am sure once tried tho, one is convinced ...once I got a Mylar headsail it was love at first and every sight..
