If my LifePO4 domestic battery went flat, thinking I could jumper across from the LA engine battery to keep me going. Is there a danger now of the LifePO4 drawing a damaging amount of current? Thinking you’d want to connect to far side of BMS (not battery side), and rely on it disconnecting to prevent over current damage. Would it automatically re-connect once croc clips removed?
Or would it be too risky to rely on the BMS disconnecting? (Thinking about it now, my best option might be to connect to the load side of the big battery fuse, after pulling the fuse – might forget this though).
Much TIA for any input.
