Just been reading that it's traditional on US east coast to have a xmas parade of lights in many areas (usually for charity) . Loads of boats dressed up in a theme with xmas lights

eg <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.adventuregrrl.com/lights/photos3.htm> loads of sites on google if you enter 'parade of lights', like this one</A>

What do you reckon.Forum parade of lights in 2004?

Are they all completely over the top, millions of bulbs displays, like some US houses, or are some quite tasteful? ;)

Hi Brendan

Theres a similar "do" on Windermere can't remember when or why! and have also never seen it or done it. God I am a mind of information.
Can anyone refresh me as it may be fun to do it this year, with the new boat we will have more room to hang things etc.

Toodle Pip.

so its a parade past Byrons next year then???

Byron can be the "acting" commodore to receive our salutes : the bird / Victory sign etc etc.

Oh if only my boat was still on the Thames. Can you imagine Byrons face, sitting looking out on the water in his study on a dark winter night. All of a sudden a fleet of floating xmas trees arrives., xmas lights festooned evverywhere, letting off fog horns!! I'd just love to see his face
