Pangbourne

We stopped for 24h there last week - not sure why but something tells me the 24hr "limit" is not being enforced or respected by all boaters.

I know this is not news but it is signed as 24hr.

I got on at Pangbourne. After hanging around mid stream early morning, a NB slowly got ready to shove off, joined soon after by its poorly spaced NB fuel boat neighbour. With those two gone(and their three occupants), over 150ft of premium public moorings became available, for up to 5 cruisers:nonchalance:

But you're not bitter :-). Same problem on the G&S.

If Pangbourne Council cut back the vegetation on the bank to what it used to be, there would be room for many more boats there.
There is even a bench by the river which, if you were to sit on it, would give you a fine view of a hedge which has been allowed to grow immediately in front of it completely obscuring the view of the river on the other side.
