Does anybody have any information on rates for transits through Panama Canal or websites where this information can be had. Google seems to be rather sparse on useful data.

I have looked at the Panana Canal Commission site and the tariff tables seem to be missing (or maybe I'm missing something). Their site also seems to be dated around 1997??!!?

The transit costs would ideally include the costs of the passage from Atlantic to Pacific and the rope handlers, pilots where required as well as other "hidden" costs.

It would be great to hear from those who have actually done this passage. Any reasonably accurate info would be great. Thanks in advance.

The cost of the transit in March 2003 was $600 plus $200 for an 'advisor' + $55 per professional line handler plus $15 per line hired and $3 per wrapped tyre fender.

Not sure why Google didn't provide you any worthwhile information.
I did a quick search and was inundated with information.

Anyway this is a useful description, from 2002.
