Is the large motorboat lying on its side the same boat that was sold on ebay about a year ago or another one?
How it could be salvaged I can't imagine.

I live just along the quay, but I have no inside knowledge.

As far as I know, she was 'sold' several times on ebay, but most of the deals weren't completed.

Eventually, according to local papers, she was bought by a wealthy businessman.

He supposedly did some research, and found that she had a glamorous history.

He was pumped up with enthusiasm, and the papers were full of talk of how she would be imminently refloated, then towed away for a complete, professional, restoration back to her full original glory.

She would then be triumphantly brought back, under her own power to add a bit of bygone glitz to our local waterfront.

Within days of this wonderful news, several big water containers were strapped along her port side, presumably in a rather optimistic attempt to get her upright, so she could pumped out.

Of course, the water containers had no effect whatsoever.

Sadly, that was at least 6 months ago (probably longer), and absolutely nothing has happened since, as far as I know.
