hi, do you know whether a 20hp blueband lower gearcase, will fit a 40hp blueband leg?

are the ratio's much different, and would it make much difference, and are the props loads different.... and.. no that's it..

I assume you're talking Mercury, from the mid 70s ish

Answer is definitely no. Completely different castings. The 20hp also had a swept back leg, so the angle between the drive shaft and the propshaft is more than 90deg, whereas the 40 had the traditional 90deg angle.
