we spent quite a time laughing at a cruiser who having left his mooring by 50', repeatedly crashed into another boat/jetty, he was caught by the wind and obviously thought keep going forward to get out of the situation.

so then what does our very experienced "sea captain do", sets off with our electricity supply still attached, laughed, & laughed, well, yes other marina occupants certainly did. who was it ??? bet you have guessed hlb.

so what has everyone else done like this, i was on a cruiser once and we both jumped off at the same time. The boat then floated away to the other bank, no bridges in sight either way, so we had to wait ages, & ages, on the bank & ask another passing boat eventually to "please can you pass us our boat !"

Was once sailing up Windermere in my National Ospray when the wind dropped to nothing. Anyway the kids were with us in there dinghy and outboard, so we tied it alongside, must have had about five miles to go. In the widest part of the lake I suddenly saw the dinghy escaping, it went round in a great big circle, going out of sight for ages, then the outboard could be heard again and slowly it came back into view. We tried to guess where it would pass by and paddle to it, but missed it completely three times. Son eventually took a huge leap, luckily ending up in the dinghy!!!

Went on a Stag night on a canal barge in Birmingham some years ago, We had three strippers on board and 20 guys, after we had imbibed a gallon of ale each nature took its course and we came along side the canal and jumped on to the tow path to relive ourselves. The barge containing only the three strippers in a state of some undress moved to the opposite bank leaving us guys in a state of some consternation and the girls panicking. We ended up walking along the towpath for half a mile to find a bridge to get back on board. Our first concern was for the beer and the second for the girls, but being hardy types they seemed to cope with the ordeal fairly well.
