Thanks Mark, we' had some fuel supply problems with the port engine before, but this time all was ok and we sat at WOT (2600) for about 10 minutes which gave us 25 knots and a cruise setting of 2100 gave us 19.
T's & P's rock steady and both read the same, checked down below afterwards and all tickety boo.

Many congrats and wish you many happy times.

Again, I’m quite up on parts for this era so feel free to give me a shout.

Congratulations! I did see her at the marina a few weeks ago when I crewed for a friend.
Looks like a fantastic boat!

Thanks Murv, we had to get one with a high enough arch so we could rebuff Fred's invitations to explore the upper reaches of the Medway....:)
She'll be there for a couple of weeks then moving to Cuxton, pop onboard if you're passing.

Congratulations, she does look in mint conditions.
Just curious, did she have the interior joinery rebuilt at some stage, or is that original?
I can't remember to have seen any boat of the early 90s using such light wood.
Anyway, it looks very nice indeed! :encouragement:

Excellent plan! I keep thinking about epoxying mine into place so it won't fold any more, would probably save a fortune in props and GRP scrapes! :D

Thanks very much for the kind offer, would love to have a nose round if you're onboard when we pass sometime.
I don't know what it is about Cuxton, but it's my favourite marina on the Medway, lovely little place :)

That is original - the choice at the time was teak (dark) and a light option which IIRC is oak

Congrats!

Good time of year to buy (in my opinion), as you get some time to get used to her, tweak various bits and bobs, etc before spring hits!

What's your boaty history? I love seeing "it's my first boat" with over 10m jobs! (We didn't dare so stuck to a 6.5m "tester" for our first year).

If you wait long enough, everything floating in the upper Medway will eventually come down and bash into you on those moorings anyway.
Looks far too nice a boat for you Al, presume you have some really manky odd sized fenders to drag the boat down to " Cuxton " standards and hopefully it will sport a well perished semi inflated dinghy half full of last winters rain dangling on the davits ?
A few bits of hairy old washing line to secure boat to shore and you should feel right at home. :)
