Just got my (40 foot Recr/Cruiser) Renwel quote today...up 36%...!!!

Ours went up with Craftinsure -I looked round a number of the well known brokers though and none could get close. The % quoted seems high though -which broker ? Is this vessel based in med though ? Maybe different factors apply in med to uk.

Yeah, it's in the Med, Corfu actually, and has been there for years so nothing new or changed in my cover/policy.

Mine went up a tiny amount, under 2%, on renewal last month. Haven Knox Johnson. UK based boat.

After Ripe took over CraftInsure, mine went up a silly amount. I went to InsureMy Boat with Geo insurance and it was much better.
My friend challenged his CraftInsure renewal quote on the phone against a competitors quote and got a price lower than last year's!
Insurances generally should have reduced this year, motor insurances are 14% down.

I was with GJW also taken over by ripe and mine had jumped up by £110, got a quote from HKJ and it was £200 cheaper so guess who gets the business, I'm not giving the company that hikes it the opportunity to re-quote, if they wanted my custom they shouldn't have tried ripping me off in the first place.
