Poor luvvies. They found it creepy because there are no street lamps. It looks like being yet another series that I would have to be drugged and strapped into a chair to make me watch.

This is on Sky Arts right now (11am) so I pressed record out of curiosity. However whatever it is it is on continuously until 9:30pm.
That is one episode called: The Third Day: Autumn. No thank you, seems to remind me of John Cage and his music.
It seems to have started at 9:30am, so 12 hours per episode, wonder what its about?

I've seen "highlights" of it on Gogglebox... One minute the guy was in woods (possible on Osea) the next in the middle of a huge cut cornfield (not possible on Osea). Nothing about it would make me want to watch the whole thing

Well. I wasn't feeling very well yesterday and had been promising myself a day of R &R on the sofa watching the telly. A decent way to spend a rainy miserable Saturday. I watched the whole 12 hours and, yes, at times it was dull but I couldn't take my eyes of it and was mesmerised. Marc had to watch for me for toilet breaks but otherwise I watched every minute. I thought it was brilliant.

Have to say though...it had not tempted me to stay on Osea.

The Third Day is fantastic. A masterpiece by a company called Punchdrunk. It is slow. It requires attention. I reckon folks who have the patience to do longer sailing crossings, might enjoy it. But agree dipping in and out of it, it might seem a bit odd... (as would dipping into a crossing and just sitting there for a bit...)

Oh and Osea has a restaurant that is popping up on it later this month called 'Native' so one can go and check out the island and eat a load of local oysters and other seafood.

Certainly right about other interests as I have not been on the water this year at all.
But I have to say watching 3 X 12 hours of television is definitely not one of mine.
Whatever floats your boat I suppose. 2 or 3 hours in the evening for me, like to be active in daylight.
I enjoy film of most styles inc. Art/ Foreign?/ Old and Stupid but 36 hours? That's specialist.

I see you are in aldeburgh - the theatre company which made 'third day' also make The Borough in aldeburgh a few summers ago. Quite similar in various ways...
