So you are saying that if you go Course or Head Up ... the text on chart stays fixed on the chart .. ie if course is 180 and you are in Course Up mode .. text is upside down ?
Yes that is what he is saying, and everyone who has the iOS version of Navionics Boating App agrees this is the "normal" behaviour. What are you struggling to understand?

Why do you think struggling ? I am trying to identify differences and why such might occur. Not just simply .. "OH that's it and be on yer way" ...

It has also prompted me to explore this matter further with my Android version ... see the video I actually took time to make, edit and upload .....

Because every time someone posts that this IS the behaviour you seem to question it. He included a picture in the OP!

Because two different software developers (or teams of developers) implemented it in slightly different ways. Its not that difficult to understand. If you care you can raise it as a bug - buy I imagine its not high up the Product Manager's priority list.

I find that even more amazing... you get told that there IS a "quirk" in iOS and you decide to make a video of a different app to show it doesn't happen there. Whilst that might be vaguely helpful to the OP/Navioinics if he wants to ask them to make them behave the same you haven't shown some setting that turns text rotation on/off separately from the map so all you've done is say "doesn't happen for me on different code, running on a different device, using a different OS".

"ylop" - you must be a real hoot at partys !!

Its a good job that most people don't just accept things and do question ... try to fathom out instead of just "OH that's it and be on yer way" attitude ...

If we all just did as your post suggests - we'd never improve.

Bye Bye !

A well thought out personal attack...

How have you helped the OP - other than perhaps suggest he buys an Android device?
The OP's questions was "is there a way" - the answer is, "in the iOS app no". He can of course raise that issue with Navionics/Garmin and see if they care.

I'm not even convinced that the Android way is better although I can see why people might prefer it; the visual clue that N is not at the top is actually quite nice - perhaps Navionics product manager agrees with that and the "bug" is in the Android version ;-)
