Why should they ? They live there. Humans are the invaders. You don't have to go into their territory ?the idea is to make them leave the area.

According to the marine mammal protected area task force its 51,581 square km . The orca follow the tuna. Man overfishes their tuna so they have to travel further to find lunch. Seems a man made problem ?There territory encompasses millions of square miles and changes day by day
I think it's because they are insentient lumps of aggressive blubber who are only there to follow their prey. Why should they ? They live there. Humans are the invaders. You don't have to go into their territory ?
We have jetskis for thatIf they were causing chaos and threatening lives in the Solent you would probably hear the howling on the moon
Man is fishing the tuna to survive, make a living, the Med Tuna stocks are now recovered, the bay of Biscay alone is over 250 square miles in area.According to the marine mammal protected area task force its 51,581 square km . Humans first.

Neither. its a debate that been ongoing for quite some time just rehashing whats already been debated and still not achieving anything other than people suggesting harm towards a protected and endangered species because its interfering with their entitled luxury lifestyleWhat's the matter cat got your tongue or google not being much help.
Nope. Totally wrong.Outstanding irony. You were prepared to annihilate billions of human beings on the order of some flunky politician.
Nope. Totally wrong.
And why are you insulting a politician on a decisìon decision you will never have to make?
Fact checking bypass?
Accepted, thanks. If you were not involved with our nuclear deterrent, my apologies.
I insult politicians because of the state of the UK.
I see few parallels between the examples you give and the issues we face. And I definitely see no analogy between fishermen and farmers - farmers reap what they sow, fisherman just reap without much of a future plan. We don't own the fish anymore than we own the water they swim in. Common and Bottlenose dolphins also eat tuna AND they have attacked humans on occasion. Should we cull them too? And those pesky tuna; they eat loads of sardines. They'll have to go on the list as well. The pod or pods of rogue animals that are highlighted, always, on here is 70 plus creatures. Try asking a Moroccan fisherman with hand line how they feel about it. Plus Spanish and Portugese fisherman too.
Ask Alaskan fishermen how 1900 or more of them are wrecking their livelihoods.
Ask any yachtsman who has had his boat damaged or sunk about how he felt about it and any skippers duty of care for their crew.
Or a chicken farmer about foxes.
Or any animal farmer anywhere about predators.
Or people like ne who sailed in the Straits of Gibraltar for a living.
Or any seal......
Sheer abject cruelty!Has anyone tried hanging a speaker over the side and playing Justin Beiber at them? If that doesnt work nothing will !
Endangered species? There's more now than there has been for years.Im sure i read something ages ago about the usa military testing acoustic deterrents but discovered the orca within minutes learn how to ignore it.
Suggesting explosive devices against an endangered and protected species is just irresponsible.
The owner of a catamaran back in 2023 who used some sort of explosive or firearm device against the orca is now looking at prosecution.
Read the thread. Work it out. Only thing that has shown effective and reliable success. I know you know. What's the solution then?
That rudder spike device was made by a yard in Galicia by the way.
Not true. There have been tuna fishing limits for years and they are now being relaxed because there are lots of tuna to go round. Orca have plenty to eat, that why orca numbers are up as well as tuna numbers.According to the marine mammal protected area task force its 51,581 square km . The orca follow the tuna. Man overfishes their tuna so they have to travel further to find lunch. Seems a man made problem ?
I've seen plenty of these devices and similar fitted down here in the boatyard. I've also seen people diving in the marina and removing them after a few weeks and a few test sails. What's the solution then?

I don't, actually.I know you know.![]()
