Orca Deterent Device

Someone on the other thread mentioned razor wire. A couple of weighted 20 m lengths towed behind the boat could help deter them. Stowage might be a problem when not in use.

Yes; I find that the UV lights in my dining room repel Killer Whales as well as killing flies. I'm sure they could get up the drainage ditch behind my property if they were really determined!
I find that wearing green underpants is a guarantee of no Orca attacks; granted I'm in Scotland but you can't be too careful.

From the website "SMALL cetaceans" (my emphasis). I don't think Killers are a problem as by-catch; they could probably break any reasonable net! And it matters - the frequencies used by cetaceans tend to be related to their size - bigger = lower frequency . But that's probably along the right lines.

Somebody we met said Dire Straits played at full volume on the cockpit speakers scared off Minke between Portugal and the Canaries.

We got closely followed by three, were they a tripod?
