Open CPN

Come on then, Vic...are you going to tell us where they are?

The Cruisers forum link above doesn`t go anywhere....and the Open Cpn site doesn`t lead to a source for charts of the UK, Atlantic Spain, France and Portugal....but the charts must exist somewhere (safe to download from?)

You can get up to date charts here-

Not Portugal yet.

The CM93 cracked charts are usually around in some torrent site buts as technically they are illegal you won't find a "safe to download from" .

This is a great site as well for adding google earth images as charts..

You can get rasterized navionics charts via SAS.Planet into OpenCPN, but it's fiddly and you will not have any of the chart objects to click on, so not really suitable as primary chart. I sometimes to this for certain areas to be able to switch between CM93, satellite imagery and rasterized navionics for additional insight.

I thought they had plugged that hole ages ago.. not showing up as a source today on SASPlanet.

Does on mine, regular and sonar charts. Try the latest build (non-release one). I don't think they're hugely concerned as it's not a serious hole considering its limited usefulness and while you are online you can browse the charts for free on http://webapp.navionics.com/ anyways.

I've had it working before but then navionics plugged it.

Unfortunately can't find any navionics in last nights SAS build. Shame, it was quite handy now and again, is your version working today with web data, not the cache?

You're right, it stopped working since I last used it. Seems Navionics pushed an update which broke the ZMP definition because some URLs changed in the update (not because they tried to block anyone). Easy to fix. Here's the updated ZMP file. Goes into SAS.Planet.blabla\Maps\sas.maps\Marine\ folder, then restart the app.
