Yup it was about a year ago, new Princess 85 driven by crew (no owner on board) at night into Isola Piana, NE corner of Sardinia, here. I have some pics of it being repaired somewhere; I'll post them if i can find them. I don't know the official cause of the accident but it seemed to be crew error

Here's another pic, taken in La Ciotat (where there are good repair yards). I do not know for sure but i beleive a temporary patchup was done on her, then she was tkaen on a ship to La Ciotat. But I really don't know the background and only have 2nd hand hearsay

That's a rather extreme method of cleaning barnacles off the hull! Personally, I think I'd start with a courser grade of sandpaper before considering the highly abrasive 'driving over a sharp rocky outcrop' technique...
