Do you leave your fridge on when you are not on your boat for a while?
What else do you leave switched on?
Recent storms sent one of the elctricity junction boxes from the pontoon into the water rendering five pontoons powerless.

I switch everything off and close all the isolator switches. Only thing I leave running is the battery charger and in the winter a small heater. I did get a dehumidifier but I don't think made much difference except to my pocket.

Views differ....

Search on Dehumidifier for recent earlier thread.

I leave an electirc bilge pump; in winter also a heater and a dehumidifier (the latter directed at dehumidifying the Solent atmosphere.

It rarely rains for longer than four hours........
Edited by Spacewaist on 08/11/2002 08:29 (server time).
