I have just purchased a Nargus Omnidirectional TV antenna which also doubles as an FM aerial for my radio. The diagram shows a little splitter box with an output for TV and FM respectively ............ but it is not supplied. Does anyone know where I can get a suitable splitter, and for how much ? Or is there another way to do it ?

I’ve seen them this week in Sainsburys Homebase and purchased one recently (most of the ones I’ve seen and used, are made/supplied by “Maxview”). Be aware though, if your radio also has long/medium wave, these wavebands won’t work via this aerial arrangement.

I'm assuming you only want to receive?.. don't think about it if you want to transmit!
The frequencies for FM radio and TV are very different so no antenna (ariel) will work effectivly on both, no-mater how good the 'splitter'. (typicaly nothing more than 3 resistors) and however you look at it it will reduce the signal stength by half . (3db). Suggest you just try a simple wire antenna on the FM (try about 10 inches) ..........or ditch the TV!

I got the Nargus via Compass Watersports at £59. How much are they in Sainsburys Homebase ? I cannot comment on the performance yet but they are about half the price of any other 'saucer' shaped ones ( the ones normally seen on top of caravans ), and I know they have a smaller gain, but I was prepared to give the Nargus a try. It is much neater and more suitable for small yachts.
It certainly is marked as a dual purpose ( TV / FM ) but the earlier posting would appear to indicate that it is a compromise and may not give best performance on both frequencies ?
Has anyone actually used one to provide a better comment on the performance ? I will be fitting mine when the weather improves and I can get to my boat, but I still need a splitter.
