Hi maby,
Where do you connect the other end to?

I bind it to the battery negative, but only because that is where the fixed anodes are bound. The purpose of the auxilliary anode is to take some of the strain off the fixed anodes, so it needs to be bonded to the same point. On most shaft drive boats, that seems to be the battery negative, but some saildrives seem to float relative to the batteries. ultimately, the answer is to have a look inside the hull where the fixed anode is mounted - there should be a wire connected to the mounting bolt and you need to bond your auxilliary anode to that - though it is probably not a good idea to losen the anode mounting bolt with the boat in the water! Follow that wire and find out where it bonds.
I ran a decent thickness wire from the main anode bonding through to a screw terminal which I mounted inside the cockpit locker - in this way it is easy to connect and remove the auxilliary anode.
